Charla has illustrated the Name Portrait of
with the history and rules of this remarkable game. Tennis has been recorded as being played since the 14th century. However, the origin of Tennis is unknown. France is the first place it was noted. Tennis reached the United States from Bermuda in 1874.
Charla began the original of this Name Portrait in pencil on illustration board. Her mediums were pen and ink and color pencil. She also embellished vintage collage pieces from the early 1900’s to fit into her design.
