Dance Girl

The magic and wonder of the dance is illustrated throughout this unique Name Portrait. Charla worked to capture the many facets of dance through her illustration and research of descriptive quotations.

To chase the glowing hours with flying feet...
Lord Byron b. 1788

When you do dance, I wish you a wave o’ the sea that you might ever do nothing but that.
William Shakespeare b. 1564

On with the dance! Let joy be unconfined!
Lord Byron b. 1788

There was a star danced and under that was I born.
William Shakespeare b. 1564

And the merry love to dance...
William Butler Yeats b. 1865

Dancing in all its forms cannot be excluded from the curriculum
of all noble education.
Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzche b.1844

Tripped the light fantastic...
James Blake b. 1862

Dancing is no more translation or abstraction from life. It is Life itself.
Havelock Ellis b. 1859

Charla created the original of Dance using pen and ink, color pencil and watercolor pen. Charla also included vintage picture pieces from the early 1900's to complete her design. The work began in pencil on illustration board. Dance is a quality reproduction individually highlighted and signed by the artist.
